Each year a new class of Davidson Fellows receives scholarships in the amounts of $50,000, $25,000 or $10,000 for their prodigious work in the areas of mathematics, science, technology, literature, music, philosophy and outside the box. Located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, the Davidson Academy opened in August 2006 as the first free public day school of its kind offering profoundly gifted middle and high school students an individualized education that allows them to soar academically. In 2016, the Academy announced the launch of a tuition-based online high school option for profoundly gifted students living anywhere in the United States. We are dedicated to supporting the intellectual and social development of profoundly gifted students age 18 and under through a variety of programs. Contributions are tax deductible. Profoundly gifted students are those who score in the 99.9th percentile on IQ and achievement tests. Read more about this population in this article.
