Building Better Spellers
The mission of this program is to provide a middle school spelling program that strengthens students’ spelling, writing, and editing skills. Tired of the fill-in-the-blank program her school used, the founder developed a spelling program that supported her language arts curriculum. She brought back spelling rules and chose relevant words. Students were no longer going to write their spelling words in isolation but would create their own varied sentences by following a simple one-line direction for each sentence. Today, this creative, new approach to spelling has four levels suitable for all middle grade levels.
