All young people should have an opportunity to develop their talents in positive ways to create value for themselves and others.
There should be no ceiling to your child's education. With the Davidson Young Scholars Program, there won't be. Our gifted program is free to profoundly gifted students and their families and gives them the opportunity to connect and engage in a community that understands their needs. Families choose their level of involvement. From individualized support from a family consultant, including academic and college advising, to opportunities to interact with other Young Scholars during summer programs and much more, the Young Scholars Program sets students and their families up to succeed academically, emotionally and socially.
Family Consultants offer individualized support. Our highly gifted program can assist with resource location, school navigation, talent development, college planning, academic support, and social and emotional development.
Our private website provides the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and learn from other parents and Young Scholars, as well as participate in online seminars with experts in various fields.
Residential summer programs are available for Young Scholars ages 8-16 (fee-based).
Our gifted program provides opportunities to connect with like-minded, high achieving peers at the annual summer event while meeting other Young Scholar families and the Davidson Institute team, or make local connections by attending informal get-togethers arranged by Young Scholar families throughout the year.
Young Scholars may submit their community service activities to be recognized in the online community. They may also apply to the Ambassador Program to develop, initiate and manage a significant community service project with training and advisement support.
